Arquata Scrivia - Gavi - Ovada - Tagliolo Monferrato

“La montagna incantata” (The enchanted mountain) is the title of the first evening at Arquata Scrivia (Al) of the Marcarolo Film Festival. Two films dedicated to the mountains will be screened: “Schneeweisse Schwarznasen”(Black snout white snow) by Sylviane Neuenschwander-Gindrat, and “L'isola deserta dei carbonai”(The desert island of the coal vendors) by Andrea Fenoglio. The festival will also be hosted in the following townships: Gavi, Ovada, Rossiglione, Tagliolo Monferrato. Closing night will be at Gavi with awards being distributed to the winners of the “Parchi in campo” video contest and the “Sotto il castagno di Marcarolo” (Under the Chestnut tree in Marcarolo) workshop as well as the screening of Massimiliano Sbrolla’s documentary “Elogio dell’acqua” (Paean to Water). On October 5th, Ovada will be hosting a special event: the director Gianni Celati, one of Italy’s best known contemporary novelists will be presenting his documentary film “Visioni di case che crollano” (Visions of Houses that are Collapsing).
