The 2008 – 2009 season of the Maison Musique is opening with the concert-event in honour of Pink Floyd, conceived by Rita Marcotulli, with the support of di Raiz (Almamegretta), Fausto Mesolella (Avion Travel), legendary saxophone player Andy Sheppard and many more artists. Aside from illustrious names from the contemporary music scene, many different artists will be taking turns on the stage of Maison Musique – out of respect for its philosophical line and programming – such as numerous emerging artists from the GreenAge Festival, the most significant exponents of folk music and dance, live performances by musicians from Argentina as well as performances by the finest international masters of the tango, performances of shows from the La città dell’uomo (City of Man) festival and much more. This season’s novelty is the weekly appointment with Jazz Jams – Libere improvvisazioni creative (Free creative improv.), which departs from jazz to develop into a harmonic, boundless creative process dedicated to the art of improvisation.
