Angel is formed in 2004, with an encounter between Ilpo Väisänen (ex PAN SONIC), Dirk Dresselhaus (ex Schneider TM) and Hildur Gudnadottir (Lost in Hildurness, Mum etc.). The project gathers musical influences from each of its members, uniting fragments of industrial, dub, new music, indie-rock, blues and science fiction movie soundtracks. Here in Torino, Angel will be presenting “Kalmukia”, a CD that combines thunderous electric distortions with violent explosions of drones, meditative environmental fluctuations with unbridled bursts of noise, transporting the listener towards never before experienced perceptive and auditory dimensions.
