The “Sottodiciotto Filmfestival” is in its ninth edition and represents an occasion for encounters, fun, exchange, rediscovery, dialogue, reflection and amusement for spectators of all ages who are fascinated by the seventh art. The impassioned window onto young cinema this year presents more than 400 titles in a program that has been significantly strengthened and is richer than ever in appointments and contents. The conducting thread of this year’s Festival is a reflection on the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The theme of human rights runs through the Torino festival, conceived for and created by young people, which takes place over ten days of intense programming. Previews, screenings and special programs, unreleased films and timeless classics, personalities and tributes, in addition to the by-now traditional retrospective, are flanked by interviews with many guests, leaders in the world of theatre and culture and international witnesses in a playbill that is as variegated as it is coherent with the festival’s aim to promote cinema of (and for) all ages.
