Its construction was begun in 1912 along the Torino-Milano railway line, as a warehouse connected to the freight sorting yard, Docks Dora remains one of the last complexes of Torino’s so-called "industrial archaeology". Today these docks are one of the city´s nocturnal hot spots, a must for whoever wants to hit the dance floors of the trendiest discotheques of Torino. There are several crowded rooms where you can meet people, and dance to the most popular music out there, drink a cocktail and wait around till dawn to have breakfast before going home. Besides being one of the temples of nightlife, Docks Dora also houses photography, recording and architecture studios and therefore can be considered one of the driving forces behind Torinese creativity.
