La Casa, a new theatre building dedicated to children’s and youth theatre – equipped with a Main Auditorium, an amphitheatre for open-air performances, rehearsal rooms, workshops and conferences – was established in 2006. Next door to the Olympic rectangle which comprises the Pala Isozaki and the Olympic Stadium, it aims to encourage young people to exchange knowledge, curiosities and aggregation, offering an original blend of intelligent fun, expressive cultural and civil learning, education and entertainment. Thanks to telescopic seating and a moving platform, the Main Auditorium can be adapted to various configurations; it can be transformed from an Italian-style theatre to a free surface where stalls and stage become one large space.
