Known way back in the days of Hannibal and Julius Caesa, and also mentioned by Petrarch in 1353, Claviere is a small town with a great best, looking out onto an equally valid present. Situated at an altitude of 1760 metres, on the southern face of Monte Chaberton, it offers guests numerous sporting systems and reception facilities. In Claviere, one can ski amidst enchanting natural scenery, also enjoying the opportunity to add an international touch to the day by adventuring onto the French slopes of Monginevro, returing to Italy along the panoramic run of the Colletto Verde, the initial stretch of which is extremely difficult. A locality of the Via Lattea ski district, Claviere doesn’t only offer downhill skiing. For those with a passion for natural humps, the resort offers the highly enjoyable 24 Montanina run. Snowboarding, ice skating – by day and by night – and Nordic skiing, on the renowned Claviere – Monginevro circuit measuring about 16 Km, not forgetting the recent recovery of the historical ski jump built around the 1920’s, complete the activities offered to tourists by this resort, which has always been a favourite destination of those who love the snow. Claviere accompanies all this with the opportunity to sample a wide variety of gastronomic specialities in typical restaurants and pubs.

snowboard: the “Moon Light Park – Monti della Luna” snowpark is situated higher than 2000 m above sea level, on high run 23, and offers an area featuring RAILS in growing levels of difficulty and 2 lines of JUMPS & KICKS
