The ski runs of the Carcoforo Cross-country Centre coast the banks of the River Egua, immersed in the enchanting scenery of the valley, and part of this is also suited to hosting national competitions, having received FISI approval. The centre offers three circuits with differing lengths and levels of difficulty. The first measures 5 km and comprises mixed terrain, of medium difficulty; the second is 1.5 km long and is the easiest, while the third, measuring 3 km, is of medium difficulty and allows for use of the classic skiing technique or the skating technique. On the neighbouring mountains, it is possible to organise ski touring excursions which can be completed in one day, choosing between more difficult itineraries or trying out some of the great “classics” such as the Colle del Termo, the Orello del Sajunché, the Colle della Bottigia and the Colle d’Egua.

HOW TO GET THERE
By car: A 26 motorway, Romagnano Sesia/Ghemme exit, from Romagnano Sesia take SP 299 to Balmuccia. Take SP 10 to Rimasco and then SP 11 to Carcoforo.
