Scopello-Alpe di Mera lies on a splendid high-plateau with a panoramic view of the Massif of Monte Rosa. This locality, set in the middle of Valgrande, is part of the Monterosa-Ski district, which also comprises the resorts of Alagna and Alagna-Wold on the Piemonte slope and of Gressoney and Champoluc in Val d’Aosta. The gentle ridges of the Alpe (1550 m) offer skiers about 35 km of slopes equipped entirely with an artificial snow system. The tracks range from the 650 m of the valley floor to an altitude of 1700 m and are distinguished by varying levels of difficulty and served by 4 chair-lifts, a ski-lift and a moving carpet lift. Thanks to the sunny position and mild climate, those who enjoy sunbathing will love the solariums positioned directly on the slopes. For Nordic skiing enthusiasts Scopello proposes 10 km of tracks which wind among woods and meadows on the right bank of the River Sesia, far away from roads and noise, for the delight of cross-country enthusiasts. For children, there is a "minibelt", a modern lift system featuring a moving carpet.

cross-country skiing: municipal owned structure featuring a series of circuits with differing levels of difficulty, on the route connecting Scopa and Scopello, with an overall length varying from 6 to 10 km depending on the years and the snow conditions. 1.5 km are equipped with an artificial snow system.
