Winter Sports - Argentera
Category: Winter Sports
The only resort dedicated to downhill skiing in the Stura Valley is in the small hamlet of Bersezio, once the site of a Benedictine priory and now a hamlet of Argentera. The snowy ski runs cover an area of approximately 30 km and are traced among the larch woods that overlook the River Stura. A chair-lift and 5 ski-lifts carry skiers from an altitude of 1650 m to over 2300 m, offering ski runs with interesting slopes, some of which are approved for every type of competitive event. Argentera also offers a run reserved for snowboarding, a Nordic skiing circuit and artificial snow on 3 km of ski runs. Skiers often come to this area to tackle fantastic off-piste skiing, descending from the slopes of Monte Enciastraia to Argentera and Ponte Lavagna.
