Frabosa Sottana

Artesina with Frabosa Soprana and Prato Nevoso is one of the three resorts that make up Mondolè Ski, a large winter sports district which stretches across the Alpi del Mare, with over 130 km of downhill ski runs, 24 lift systems and reception and recreational structures suitable for accommodating and entertaining tens of thousands of tourists. Situated in the municipality of Frabosa Soprana, the locality has tracks that go from the 1300 m of the departure of the Colletto and Mirafiori chair-lifts to the 2100 m of Cima Durand.
Children and beginners can make their first descents on the baby and schooling ski runs, while more expert skiers can challenge their skills on the 3600 m of the Libera FIS, which runs from Cima Durand to the town. Children can build up their confidence with the snow and have fun in the children’s play area of Giocomondo or trying out the Pista delle Fate (Fairies’ Ski Run), accompanied by talking animal shapes. To reach the other areas of the Mondolè Ski all you have to do is choose the red ski run that stretches from the arrival of the Rocche Giardina ski-lift to the slopes of Prato Nevoso.
Artesina stands out for being a ski-total resort and therefore, alongside downhill skiing, it also has a panoramic high-altitude Nordic skiing circuit (1800 m), an illuminated snowpark on the Turra plateau and a 500 m boardercross track. Downhill skiers are offered a range of thrilling emotions, deciding whether to climb to the top of Monte Mondolé (2382 m) or opt for another high altitude off-piste in the heart of the Maritime Alps.

By plane: Genova C. Colombo (150 km), Milano Malpensa (230 km), Torino caselle (130 km)
By train: Torino-Savona line, Mondovì station and public bus service to Artesina
By car: A6 motorway Torino-Savona, Mondovì exit, drive heading towards Mondovì-Villanova Mondovì on SP 5, from Villanova take SP 37 heading towards Frabosa Sottana and continue on SP 327 as far as Artesina
