Traversella

A narrow valley in the High Canavese situated just a few kilometres from Ivrea, Valchiusella is named after the river that runs through it, the Chiusella, once a valuable source of energy for the numerous factories linked to the important iron mines in the valley. Winter sport is concentrated in Traversella, which hosts the ski lift systems of Palit, which enjoy a sunny, panoramic position in the High Canavese. The resort stretches between 1267 and 1850 m and has 3 lift systems, serving 15 km of downhill ski runs. In the locality of Fondo and Cima Bossola there are also Nordic ski runs.

HOW TO GET THERE
By car: from Torino A5 Torino - Aosta, taking the Ivrea exit onto Strada Provinciale 565, followed by the deviation for Strada Provinciale 64, heading towards Vico Canavese - Traversella.
