A visit to the Museo di Scienze Naturali (Natural Science Museum) is particularly interesting, because the planetarium is fitted with multimedia equipment that allows visitors to make a virtual trip through the various phases of the origin and evolution of the earth. During the first part of the visit, samples of rocks can be seen and touched; you can also watch simulations of spectacular volcanic eruptions. The next rooms house palaeontological, ornithological and entomological collections. A large model with three-dimensional figures represents the fluvial environment of the Alessandria region, while in a large transparent cylinder are kept specimens of butterflies from all over the world. The walk through the natural history room is particularly full of atmosphere, because you are surrounded by the sounds of nature. The Planetarium houses a laboratory with an astronomical educational room; under the dome, in fact, thanks to a state-of-the-art digital projector, can be simulated the phases of the moon, the daily path of the sun and the motion of the planets.
