Museo Ferroviario (Cuneo)
Category: Thematic
The Cuneo train station houses a small Museum of Railway Relics, which gives passengers a chance to leisurely pass the time while waiting for their train. From the hall of the station the Royal Room can be visited, once reserved for the Royal Family to wait in. Visitors can then move on to the platforms, along which is displayed a collection of lamps and railways signals that will lead visitors to the railway staff building. In this building is housed the enormous siren used in wartime. In one room are kept small but precious items of interest: railway uniforms, a carriage for making repairs on the railway line and a 1930 locomotive. An amusing fact: in this station there are three, not two, tracks between the platforms: the central track was in fact reserved for the Royal train.
