The Mausoleo della Bela Rosin (Mausoleum of the Bela Rosin) is a smaller version of the Roman Pantheon. It was created by the sons of Rosa Vercellana, after their mother’s death, when the Savoy family refused to bury her next to Victor Emmanuel II of Savoy, first King of Italy. He had married her by a morganatic marriage to crown a long-lasting love story. The Mausoleum was built using light marble, is surrounded by a large rectangular park, and is delimited by a boundary wall that overlooks Strada Castello di Mirafiori. This circular monument has a diameter of sixteen metres and is also sixteen metres high, including the large Latin Cross that surmounts it on top of the copper dome, and was designed in neoclassical style by Angelo Dimezzi. Five steps lead to the entrance hall, which is adorned with sixteen marble columns five metres high. Eight of these columns make up the colonnade of the façade, while the other columns, which are placed on two rows at the back, make up three short naves, two of which end in niches.
