Castellamonte

This area is characterised by a large plain interspersed with ponds and small lakes. Both humid areas and relicts of piedmont moors have steppe vegetation, and are mostly comprised of heathers such as the Calluna Vulgaris and graminaceous plants such as the Tall moor grass. In this Nature Reserve there is a strong presence of larks, quails, ortolans and corn buntings.
