Special Nature Reserve of the Oasi di Crava Morozzo (Rocca de' Baldi)

This Nature Reserve protects one of the very few humid areas on the plains of southern Piemonte. It was the first bird sanctuary in Italy to be managed by LIPU (Lega Italiana Protezione Uccelli) (Italian Society for the Protection of Birds), and it later became a special nature reserve. It is home to about two hundred species of birds, non-migratory and migratory, that make it an exceptional bird watching site. Among non-migratory birds we can find: Mallards, Grey Herons, Coots, and Little grebes; among migratory birds we can find: Pochards, Shovelers, Pintails, Purple herons and Egrets.
