Special Nature Reserve Garzaia di Carisio

The river Elvo runs through this Nature Reserve that is mostly made up of fields where corn, rice and poplars are grown. At the centre of the Reserve is a wood made up of stands of false acacia, which is home to nesting couples of night herons, little egrets and grey herons. Although there is no public admittance, it is possible to enter the Garzaia for study reasons.
