Ecomuseo del Cossatese e delle Baragge (Cossato)

Cossato

This Ecomuseum documents the places and activities of the rural population of Cossato through an extended collection of objects. It looks into the bond between the territory and the community: from farming methods to silviculture, to small-scale craftsmen. Theme set courses leave from the Museum, which is housed in the former school of Castellengo, and is shared with the Ente di Gestione della Riserva Naturale Speciale della Baraggia (Managing Body of the Special Nature Reserve of Barraggia). These routes allow visitors to discover the feudal system, which is well represented by the Castle, as well as the Holy places, the local rural economy and the landscape of the Baraggia area.
