Museo Baita della Libertà (Belgirate)

This museum was created inside a chalet on the Colle Motta Rossa (Motta Rossa Hill). Several partisans were slaughtered here, among whom was Pore Musolishvili, from Signaki, Georgia. In the years ensuing the Second World War Belgirate was twinned with Signaki, which sent here products and local artefacts (paintings, rugs, crockery, etc.). All these objects were collected in this chalet, which became a museum in 1978.
