Museums
Museo del Fiume (Alessandria)
Category: Science and technology
The River Museum was created to preserve the memory of the flood, caused by the River Tanaro, that struck this city in November 1994, as well as to analyse the issues connected with Alessandria’s two rivers. Here we can find documents, studies, university theses, and other scientific and technical documents on that tragic event and on the following reconstruction works, as well as a photographic library and a video library. Inside the museum is also a conference room and a hall equipped for temporary exhibitions and for scientific group activities, in order to make the museum, above all, “a lively place where people can go to do something”.
