Sale d'arte - Cittą di Alessandria
Category: Modern and contemporary art
The works of art and the objects housed in the Art Rooms of Alessandria are displayed in four exhibition areas. The first area is devoted to the Middle Ages in Alessandria, and is centred around XIV century frescoes from the Cascina (Farmhouse) of Torre di Frugarolo, which were inspired by the Arthurian cycle. The second area focuses on artist Giovanni Migliara from Alessandria (1785-1837) and on his work. In the last two areas we can see a collection of works acquired by the city of Alessandria in the nineteen hundreds, as well as a biographical sketch of painter Alberto Cafassi and his works.
