Novara

Scholar Carlo Francesco Frasconi, chaplain of the cathedral, created this museum in 1813. Objects dating back from between the III century BC and the V century AD are exhibited here, including: inscriptions, Roman cippuses, a Celtic head and the stele of Saint Bernardino. The museum is located under the portico of the cloister of the presbytery, and some finds from the St Gudenzio Basilica make this collection even more interesting, among which is the Rilievo della nave (Relief sculpute of the boat) ((III century AD) which is an archaeological piece of great value.
