Ecomuseo della Segale (Valdieri)

This ecomuseum was created to show the hard living conditions of the mountain rural population, both from an environmental and from a production point of view. The first part of this ecomuseum has been created by improving the path that links the town of Sant’Anna di Valdieri with the village Tetti Bartola, which is now a self-guided route. The excursion loop was extended when some houses of the villages Tetti Bartola and Tetti Bariau, and their rye-roofs, were restored with the aim of creating a portrayal of everyday life. The core of the ecomuseum is located in the town of Sant’Anna, where various initiatives will be carried out with the purpose to rediscover the local cultural heritage, and its connection with rye.
