Casa Museo Badoglio (Grazzano Badoglio)

The museum is situated in the house where Marchall Pietro Badoglio, protagonist of 70 years of Italian history, was born in 1871 and lived as a child. Split into several rooms, the museum displays numerous photographs, original newspapers, uniforms, weapons, books and mementoes which belonged to the Badoglio family, as well as several private donations. The areas open to visitors are the parlour of the old Badoglio home, the Africa room, the room known as “La carriera fino al termine della Prima Guerra Mondiale” (The career until the end of the First World War), the Governorship room, the Empire room, the bedroom, the library, with a collection of works written about Badoglio (as of the years following the first world war), and the room which houses a permanent exhibition entitled "L´Italia dei governi di guerra 1943-1945" (The Italy of the wartime governments 1943-1945), which illustrates the events which took place between July 1943 and April 1945.
