Set up in the former Santa Chiara Convent, already the Levi factory, the museum represents the first gathering of objects from Chieri’s textile activity: the tools used in prevalently manual work and closely linked to agricultural labor, such as tools used in the cultivation of woods, to dye rags blue, for silkworm breeding, for spinning and weaving of cotton, linen, and silk, and for bleaching cotton.
