Balme

Located at an elevation of 2,659 meters in Crot del Ciaussine, this is a small museum, a division of the Museo Nazionale della Montagna (National Museum of the Mountain) in Torino. The exhibit is housed inside an old refuge, built in 1880, which was the first stop during the exploration of the summits in the Valli di Lanzo, well loved destinations in the world of Torino mountaineering during its earliest years.
