Inaugurated in 1999, the Museum of Decorative Arts was created with respect to and in the taste of its founder, the antiquarian Pietro Accorsi. The home-museum that includes about thirty rooms with hundreds of objects – furniture, tapestries, carpets, paintings, crystals, ceramics, porcelain, silver – placed in relationship to one another in such a way as to recreate an 18th century atmosphere, a century when Turin was a star on the international scene on a par with more powerful European states.
