Museo del Costume e delle Tradizioni delle Genti Alpine (Pragelato)

The museum, in the village of Rivet, is dedicated to local ethnography and to promoting the customs and the language of the area. The exhibit of everyday objects used in homes and at work is presented within various reconstructed scenes: the kitchen,
the bedroom, the stalls, the hayloft, and the characteristic “Crutin”(small cellars ). Rooms that also take in the home’s laundry, the work clothes, and the Sunday best, not to mention the entire collection of antique women’s costumes from the Western Alps. The local costumes from Pragelato and Fenestrelle are particularly charming with their characteristic bonnets and multicolored fabrics, as are the costumes from the valleys of Susa and Queyras.
