Palazzo Cuttica (Alessandria)
Category: Buildings of historical importance
The Palazzo, built in the 18th century as the Marquis Cuttica di Cassine desired, became, in a short time, the heart of sophisticated life in Alessandria. The residence of Napoleon’s generals Chasseloup and Despinois, it was then acquired by the Comune (City) and became the seat of various offices. Today, Palazzo Cuttica houses the Conservatorio Musicale di Alessandria and, during the summer, is the theater of many interesting cultural events organized by the Citta.
