Buildings of historical importance
Villa Vidua (Conzano)
Category: Buildings of historical importance
The 18th century home of the Vidua counts is located in the upper part of the historical center towering above the ancient Piazza Australia. A good part of this building’s allure is found in the façade embellished with an elegant weaving of loggias which highlights the refinement of the structure, probably placed on top of an original medieval installation. The Villa’s interior is rich with frescos, done, in great part, by Antonio Ivaldi di Acqui, called the Muto. Also the Eastern scenes in the “Chinese” room are striking and noteworthy.
