Buildings of historical importance
Palazzo Zoppi (Cassine)
Category: Buildings of historical importance
Palazzo Zoppi, built during the 14th century, was created as a fortified structure and only later, thanks to the Visconti family, did it become a sumptuous residential palace.
Still visible in the palace’s interior are the 15th century frescoes which depict scenes of courtly life, games, and hunting parties; while in the corte d’onore - interesting due to a series of lowered Gothic arches - is the chapel that preserves a prized 14th century painting on wood from the Piemonte school.
