The Ecomuseo or Museo del Territorio del Biellese (Ecomuseum or Biellese Territorial Museum) comprises 15 “cells”: the Ecomuseo della Vitivinicoltura di Candelo (Candelo Winegrowing Ecomuseum); the Ecomuseo del Cossatese e delle Baragge di Cossato (Cossato district and Baragge (flat, infertile land) of Cossato Ecomuseum); the Casa Museo di Rosazza (Rosazza Home Museum); the Ecomuseo della Terracotta di Ronco Biellese (Ronco Biellese Terracotta Ecomuseum); the Fabbrica della Ruota di Pray (Pray Wheel Factory); the Museo Laboratorio del Mortigliengo di Mezzana Mortigliengo (Mezzana Mortigliengo Laboratory Museum of Mortigliengo); the Ex Mulino Susta di Soprana (Former Susta di Sporana Mill); the Ecomuseo della Civiltà Montanara di Bagneri- Muzzano (Bagneri-Muzzano Mountain Civilisation Ecomuseum); the Ecomuseo della Tradizione Costruttiva di Trappa-Sordevolo (Trappa-Sordevolo Ecomuseum of the Construction Tradition); the Museo dell´Oro e della Bessa di Vermogno-Zubiena (the Vermogno-Zubiena Museum of Gold and the Bessa); the Ecomuseo della Lavorazione del Ferro di Mongrando (Mongrando Iron-crafting Ecomuseum); the Ecomuseo della Lavorazione del Ferro di Netro (Netro Iron-crafting Ecomuseum); the Cittadellarte Fondazione Pistoletto di Biella (Pistoletto Cittadellarte Foundation of Biella); the Oasi Zegna di Trivero (Trivero Zegna Reserve); the Museo Laboratorio dell´Oro e della Pietra di Salussola (Salussola Gold and Stone Laboratory Museum)), which operate as workshops for the conservation of documentary heritages, finds, technical cases and social and cultural models subject to risk, taking on a function of reinterpretation and actualisation of tradition. Collections of tools and equipment are housed in buildings characterised by immense evocative charm, while themed itineraries accompany you during the discovery of places which represent the communities, explaining and restoring the cycle of life and crafting of the products of the earth and industry. Educational activities, events, guided tours, researches, collections, archives, photographs, natural and artificial environments conserve the various voices and the memory of numerous small communities which have helped make the Biella district great, enhancing it in the sharing of its cultures.
