Buildings of historical importance
Villa Radicati detta Villa del Belvedere di Saluzzo
Category: Buildings of historical importance
Originally created as a watchtower during the 14th century, which then became a hunting lodge, it was turned into a manor house in the 16th century by the then governor of Saluzzo, Carlo Birago di Borgaro. After it was donated to the Community of Saluzzo by its last owner, who left not only the property itself, but also the very lavish interior furnishings – antique furniture, paintings, ornaments, fabrics with Bandera embroidery, prints, and engravings – it has been the focus of a major restoration.
