“When the radio broadcasts from Turin…” sang Alberto Rabagliati in the ‘40’s. Today, radio production potential is much less, but in Turin, the city that “invented” “Radio messaging” and where the first live radio newscast – Prince Umberto di Savoia’s return to the city along with his wife, Maria Jose - took place in 1939, the Museum of Radio at 16 Via Verdi remains active. It maintains a collection of 800 original objects which reach from Marconi’s “prehistory” to modern radio, plus, discographic phonomagnetic registrations.
