Among the many watermills built in the Valle del Ticino, the one in Bellinzago is the only one still functioning today. Renovated with a contribution from the Regione Piemonte, it is an important Centro di Educazione Ambientale (Environmental Education Center) that reflects the environmental policies taken by the Parco del Ticino: to create a strong collaboration with schools, to instill a greater sensitivity toward nature that will translate, in the near future, into a better management of the territory, and an improvement in the relationship between humans and the environment.
