Museo Civico Etnografico (Bardonecchia)

The ethnographic museum in Bardonecchia, inaugurated in 1953, was created to bear witness to a still recent past and to keep alive the memory of a community – the mountain community – which has undergone radical and rapid change. Developments in tourism, winter sports, and new technology have altered not only the mountain environment, but also the way to experience it. The museum presents objects linked to a tangible mountain culture from the bobbins used in lace making to garments, from household furniture to the tools used by craftsmen.
