Buildings of historical importance
Villa-Castello (Villadeati)
Category: Buildings of historical importance
After reaching Villadeati, one must, at the very least, be struck by scenic placement of an elegant villa-castle on the top of a dominating hill. The villa, built during the 17th century on the remains of an ancient fortress following the design of one of Juvarra’s students, consists of a central structure with a high, slender tower, two lateral wings, and a very beautiful hanging garden. The sloping gardens are interjected with other small constructions and towers. The castle belongs to the Feltrinelli family.
