The Museo Internazionale delle Arti Applicate (MIAAO) (International Museum of Applied Arts) was set up with an ambitious aim: to guarantee a future to applied contemporary arts and affirm a more modern artistic figure, that of the “metropolitan artisan”. Set up in Torino to celebrate the Centenary of the Esposizione Internazionale d’Arte Decorativa Moderna (International Exposition of Modern Decorative Art) which was held in the main city of Piemonte in 1902, the Miaao is based in the San Filippo Neri complex by Juvarra.
