In the land of saints and pilgrims, a few kilometers from Castelnuovo Don Bosco, is Mondonio, where one can visit the house where San Domenico Savio was born and grew up as well as the medieval castle of Rivalba with its large, square tower which is all that remains of the ancient fortalice. Next to the tower is the Chiesa (Church) Madonna del Castello which dates back to the Baroque era.
