Andorno Micca

The parish church dedicated to San Lorenzo Martire (Saint Lawrence), which dates back to the 15th century, is divided into three naves. It has a high, imposing bell tower which was built from the 16th century to the 18th century using material from the castle
dei Fieschi. Restructured during the 18th century, the church’s original main entrance was closed and opened on the opposite side where there was once an apse. The building houses the tomb of Bernardino Galliari, born in Andorno, several striking pictorial works from the Scala, and a precious marble holy water stoup from the 13th century.
