Highlights
Giardini dell'Isola Bella (Stresa)
This huge Baroque garden in the Italian style is one of the best preserved in Italy. Laid-out in ten descending terraces, it is embellished with ponds, fountains, architectural perspectives, and a multitude of statues dating back to the second half of the 17th century.
Giardini Botanici di Villa Taranto (Verbania)
We owe these marvelous gardens to Captain Neil McEacharn. The plants, some of which are the only specimens in Europe and became acclimated after great labor, have been arranged in an artistic way within a framework of rare beauty between Lago Maggiore and the mountains.
Giardino Botanico di Oropa (Biella)
The Giardino Botanico (Botanical Garden), at an elevation of 1,200 meters, is about twelve kilometers from Biella. Part of the Oasi of WWF Italy, it is a protected area dedicated to conservation, environmental education, and research.

People
Patty Smith
"Torino is a distinct city, with a lot of character. It’s not like Firenze or other Italian cities that overwhelm you, where you’re overcome by tourists. It is a city that has a very precise personality, a style, a soul."
Africa Unite
"Africa United is not deeply Torinese. Bunna and I are from the province of Piemonte and we’re critical toward the so-called ‘Savoy pride’, but it’s a fact that we have experienced Torino’s turmoil."
Irene Grandi
“Torino is a fascinating place, filled with things to do, artistic and cultural movement…there’s always a show or a concert going on in some piazza. If only Florence was like this…”
