From Ivrea to lake Viverone - approximately 15 Km
Form Ivrea station head toward the town centre. Cross the Dora Baltea and turn right along the Dora embankment and then left onto the main road. Turn left at the traffic lights for Vercelli-Cigliano. After about 2.5 Km take the road for Cigliano. After a short time, turn left towards the farms of Meine and Parise. Turn left at the fork in the road and go along through the farm fields. Once you come to the Bollengo-Albiano road go towards the right. Just before you get to the built-up areas of Albiano turn towards Pobbia-Azeglio. Go along a flat road until you come to Azeglio. Enter the town and turn right where the road crosses with via Roma. At the bottom of the road take the right turn for Sant’Antonio. Carry on, turning left twice, until you come to the little church of Sant’Antonio. The track leads to Lake Viverone.

From Montaldo to Lake Sirio - approximately 18 Km
Leave the car and go along via Mazzini until you are under Montaldo castle. If you wish, you can leave the bicycle here and go up to the castle at the top. Turning back, you go to Lago Nero (Lake Black), its colour is due to the deepness of its water. Back again, and almost under Montaldo castle, turn left towards Lake Pistone; once you come to the asphalt road, head towards the built-up area of Chiaverano, which commands splendid views of the Canavese hills. Go past Chiaverano and carry on towards Cascinette d’Ivrea, riding alongside Lake Campagna. After the town turn right for Lake St. Michele. Going on you come to Lake Sirio. On the return, follow the signs for the town of Montaldo.
