Giardiniera torinese
A light and delicate starter and an excellent side dish for roast and boiled meats.
Preparation
Boil the potatoes in salted water for about half an hour. Then peel and cut them into small cubes. Cook the carrots in another pan and then slice them into disks. Wash the central parts of lettuce and slice them into segments. Then wash the radishes and slice them. Place the lettuce on a serving dish and place the potatoes, carrots and artichoke hearts around them. Prepare a sauce with oil, lemon juice and a pinch of salt. Mix well and pour it on top of the vegetables.

Sacro Monte di Crea
Built at the end of the 1500’s, the Sacro Monte di Crea has 23 chapels and 5 hermitages scattered throughout the woods and connected to each other by paths. The chapels narrate the life of the Virgin Mary and house extraordinary life-size statuary groups.
La “Bollente” di Acqui Terme
This is an elegant, octagonal temple-structure inaugurated in 1879. This eclectic structure has a spring where sulfuric-salty-bromine-iodic water flows at a temperature of 74.5 degrees Celsius.
Abbazia di Novalesa
Near the monastery, there are four chapels dedicated to Saint Mary, Saint Salvador, Saint Michael, and the most important one to Saint Eldrado which has two splendid fresco cycles (from the late 11th century) narrating moments from the lives of Saint Eldrado and Saint Nicholas.
