Rock climbing
Climbing is one of the basical motory outlines, an inborn feeling that human beeings have till their birth like walking, swimming and rolling. The main rule guiding the ethic of the climber is to win the face by fear means. This means to exceed rock routes with growing difficulties without the help of the artificial means, used only to protect ourselves from a probable fall. The arrival of this discipline, coming from the anglosaxon countries, prefers an alpinism ludic respect, it represents a breaking moment with the traditional values to go to the mountains. In Piedmont the innovative climbing phenomenon starts in the 70es and from that moment is not possible to count all the equipped routes in every mountain areas. They are nowadays an impressive choice for development, engagement, and morphological characteristics of a land that alterns plates, diedhrons, cracks and projections in a festival of worked limestones, rugh quartzites, smooth serpentines, and solid gneiss.
